India AI Mission: Cabinet approves an Outlay of ₹10,372 crore for next 5 years

As per the statement given by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, the Cabinet approves the India AI Mission. There will be an outlay of ₹10,372 crore for the next five years.

The government has approved corpus that will be used to create a large computing infrastructure.

After the cabinet meeting, Union Minister Piyush Goyal briefed reporters and unveiled things related to this India AI Mission. He said that the Supercomputing Infrastructure under the India AI Mission will also benefit businesses, educational institutes, researchers, and other industries.

For this mission, A National Data Management officer will be assigned who will coordinate with various departments and ministries to improve the quality of data. These departments and ministries will work together for this AI development and deployment.
