The government already provides 17 Lakhs Tonnes of Sugar for ethanol production. Apart from that, the ISMA (Indian Suger Mills Association) demands an additional 10-12 lakhs Tonnes of sugar for ethanol production. They also focus on an upward revision in other sectors. These are sugarcane juice, syrup, and B-heavy molasses for 2023-24. There have been no revisions till now. Recently ethanol from maize has been an incentivise. There is eagerness among the production for a response as soon as possible.

Maharashtra is the largest producer of sugar in India. Uttar Pradesh is the second largest producer and Karnataka is the third largest producer. Maharashtra has produced around 50.73 Lakhs tonnes by 15 January. While UP produced 45.73 Lakhs tonnes of sugar by 15 January. Karnataka produced 31.16 lakh tonnes.

The company expects to grow further with the season. This year made more growth than the previous one. It expects to have more growth in the next year. The mills also lead to the production of 149.52 Lakhs tonnes of sweetener. We hope that ethanol production will increase with time and favorable conditions. It has a use case in plastics, polishes, plasticizers, medications, cosmetics, and alcohol as well. There are several stocks related to ethanol that are also on trend.
