Gujarat got its first All India Institute of Medical Science (AIIMS) and it is all set to be inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday, February 25, 2024. The foundation stone was laid by PM Modi in December 2020. This Gujrat AIIMS was built at the cost of ₹1,195 crore. Now India has a total of five AIIMS around the the country with specialized doctors. Let’s explore more about this hospital below.
Gujarat AIIMS is spread across 201 acres and will be available for the nation with 720 beds including ICU and super-specialty beds. On the inauguration day of 25th February 2024, Prime Minister Modi will inaugurate 23 Operation theatres (OTs), 30-bed AYUSH block, and 250 beds of IPD.
As we all know AIIMS are on the top when we talk about medical expertise. Now Gujarat people do not need to go to Delhi or any other state to get treatment from AIIMS. After this Inauguration, India will get its fifth AIIMS with numerous medical facilities and medical expertise.
On the Inauguration day, PM Narendra Modi will visit Beyt Dwarka temple and take darshan of lord Krishna. He will visit Dwarkadhish temple at around 09:30 AM but before that Modi ji will inaugurate Sudarshan Setu and visit the place at around 08:25 am. The foundation stone for multiple projects worth more than ₹4150 crore in Dwarka around 1 pm. Then PM will perform the main event of the day which is AIIMS Rajkot Inauguration around 03:30 pm. Sudarshan Setu will be a 2.32 km long cable-stayed bridge built with a cost of around ₹980 crore.
