Bengaluru: Food delivery giant Swiggy has announced plans to add over 430 new dark stores across India by March 2025, marking a significant expansion of its Instamart quick-commerce service. The move is aimed at strengthening its delivery network and reducing order fulfillment times.

Swiggy to Add 430 Dark Stores by March 2025 to Expand Instamart Business

Swiggy’s Instamart, which delivers groceries and daily essentials within minutes, has been a key growth driver for the company. By adding new dark stores — small warehouses that cater exclusively to online orders — Swiggy aims to optimize delivery speed and improve customer experience.

The company also aims to achieve positive EBITDA (earnings before interest, taxes, depreciation, and amortization) for its Instamart business by Q3 of FY26. This strategic expansion comes as Swiggy faces stiff competition from rivals like Blinkit and Zepto in India’s booming quick-commerce sector.
