Will Arvind Kejriwal Get Interim Bail? Supreme Court Issued big Statement

CM Arvind Kejriwal Might get The Interim Bail Soon

CM Arvind Kejriwal is under the highlights as he might get an interim bail for the preparation of elections. However, the court clarifies that the process is yet to begin and no one must presume his bail. Apart from that, the court clarified that the matter related to his liquor policy involvement would take time.

The court asks the Enforcement Directorate to prepare for the arguments on 7 May 2024 for Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail plea. The court agreed to the necessary hearings and arguments for Arvind Kejriwal’s interim bail. However, ED’s representative, Solicitor General SV Raju mentions his opposition to his interim bail.

However, the Supreme Court also clarifies that no one must presume his bail. Arvind Kejriwal is in Tihar Jail from 21 March 2024. His involvement in the liquor policy makes ED investigate him. However, his unwillingness to allow the investigation does not give any confidence to ED for his bail.

CM was under custody for a few days on ED’s request for investigation. However, after the said period, his time was extended further on 9 April. As he continued to refuse investigations, his bail is currently upheld. Arvind Kejriwal and his supporters believe that the current political party in power wants to create a dictatorship. It is going viral over the internet.

He mentions openly that he wants to save the country from several threats and will keep working on his mission from inside the jail as well. His wife is also supporting him. The court is not on any of the sides and mentions that “We may Grant or we may not grant. But we must be open to you as neither side should be taken by surprise.”

Thus, Arvind Kejriwal might get interim bail for elections. However, there is no surety yet. The hearing will take place in a few days. We will provide more updates shortly as the hearing proceeds further. Stay tuned for more information on our website.
